The production version includes an electric motor rated at 40 kW; 53 hp (54 PS) and 210 N?m (155 lbf?ft) of torque, 1.25 kWh lithium-ion battery, 18-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels in turbine blades design (optional 19-inch), hybrid badges, metallic paint finish (optional Arctic Silver body colour), three-zone automatic air conditioning, LED headlights, and a BOSE sound system. Pure electric mode is available for either a top speed of 100 km/h (62 mph) or for up to 3 km (2 mi) at a constant speed of 60 km/h (37 mph). It went on sale in 2012.

(Mitsubishi Evo)Yet another special edition Evolution VI was released in December 1999: the Tommi M?kinen Edition, named after Finnish rally driver Tommi M?kinen who had won Mitsubishi four WRC drivers championships. It featured a different front bumper, Red/Black Recaro seats (with embossed T. M?kinen logo), 17″ white Enkei wheels, a leather Momo steering wheel and shift knob, a titanium turbine that spooled up more quickly, front upper strut brace, lowered ride height (with tarmac stages in mind), and a quicker steering ratio. Amongst other colours, the Evo VI came in either red (Tommi M?kinen Edition only), white, blue, black or silver with optional special decals, replicating Tommi M?kinen’s rally car’s colour scheme.
