
(Lamborghini Diablo) Lamborghini Kanto (1997)
After the rejection of Gandini’s design, many design propositions were made for the Diablo’s successor. Finally the design penned by Norihiko Harada, chief designer of Italian styling house Zagato was chosen.
The first running prototypes having Harada’s design began testing in 1997. In the early stages of the car’s development, the Kanto had utilised the engine taken from a Diablo SV before moving on to a more powerful and modified power plant. (Lamborghini Gallardo)LP 570-4 Spyder Performante (2011)
In November 2010, Lamborghini announced the LP 570-4 Spyder Performante, a convertible version of the LP 570-4 Superleggera. Employing the same odd firing 570 PS (419 kW; 562 hp) 5.2L V10 and with a curb weight of 1,485 kg (3,274 lb), heavier than the coup? as usual with coup? based convertibles, the LP 570-4 Spyder Performante goes from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.9 seconds, to 200 km/h (124 mph) in 12.0 seconds and has a top speed of 324 km/h (201 mph).
