(Lamborghini Jarama) History
In 1970 Lamborghini designed the Islero to meet the demand of the American market. When it came time to replace it, instead of just redesigning the Islero, Lamborghini instead made the Jarama, filling the spot which would have been taken by a second generation of the Islero. Introduced in 1970 at the Geneva Motor Show, Lamborghini built the Jarama to meet U.S. standards using a version of the Espada chassis that had had its wheelbase shortened by 10.7 inches. The Jarama was heavier than the Islero, though it claimed the same top speed of 162 mph. The Jarama is powered by the same 3.9 L (3,929 cc) Lamborghini V12 engine used in the Islero and Espada. The engine was fitted with Six Weber carburetors and sent power to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission. Two different models were made, the original GT (1970?1973) model which produced 350 bhp (260 kW), and the GTS (also known as Jarama S) (1972?1976) that produced 365 bhp (272 kW). The GTS featured a few minor body modifications including a hood scoop, exhaust vents in the fenders and new wheels. A redesigned dashboard, power assisted steering, removable roof panels, and a Chrysler TorqueFlite automatic transmission also became available as options. Early Jaramas featured magnesium alloy wheels from the Miura. A total of 328 Jaramas were built. gallardo wallpaper, lambo aventador, lambo gallardo, Lamborghini Jarama wallpapers, lamborghini car
(Lamborghini Aventador)Aventador LP700-4 (2011?2016)
Production of the Aventador was planned to be limited to 4,000 vehicles (4,099 Murci?lagos were built); however, in 2016, it achieved the 5,000 unit milestone. The molds used to make the carbon-fibre monocoque are expected to last 500 molds each and only 8 have been made. The base price of the Aventador is US$393,695.
The car’s shape borrows heavily from Lamborghini’s limited-edition Revent?n and their Estoque concept car.
The vehicle was unveiled at Lummus Park, Miami, followed by Miami International Airport, followed by Auto China 2014 (with Nazionale configuration via Lamborghini Ad Personam personalization program).
The Lamborghini Aventador starred in Transformers: Age of Extinction as Lockdown, the film’s main antagonist. Lamborghini Aventador wallpapers#SportsCar #LamborghiniVeneno #lambo #lambo #gallardo
